Old-time users of SAP are familiar with problems generating decent-looking reports and documents from the SAP environment. Optimising printers and Multi-functional Peripherals (MFP) was hard with SAP, and because printers are generally not used to their fullest, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) ran higher than is necessary. Until shortly, that is. SAP R/3 supports Custom Device Types (CDT), enabling users to optimise the use of their printers and MFPs after all. SAP R/3 enables the use of finishing options and specific printer functionalities through these CDTs, and Ricoh's Aficio™ range fully complies with SAP R/3 CDT architecture. SAP users can now use the full capabilities of their Aficio™ output devices, including good-looking reports, invoices and other SAP-related documents.
